Oh hey there, long time no…post?
First things first, I’m so sorry for the radio silence. It’s been a few weeks since I’ve posted and boy do I feel immense bloggers guilt for not being consistent. But as you may (or may not) know, I moved house just 3 days before Christmas and have no internet which means I’m currently stealing my parents — so that’s an OK excuse right? It was hectic, stressful, busy but we did it. We finally moved into our new home!
We managed to move everything over in just one day and set up all the important things we needed that night/ the next morning. I can’t tell you how surreal it feels to be in my own place. Even now, it still hasn’t really sunk in…But we’re settled in and it was the best Christmas present I could have asked for.
The day after we moved I decided it was time to stop stressing, kick-back, relax and enjoy a well-deserved break from work, trying to make everything look perfect at home and generally avoid any adult obligations for a couple days. Because, Christmas.
I was lucky enough to have somewhat of an international Christmas this year, spending it with family from Texas and my brother from another Mother from London. Being around loved ones, not having to worry about moving, blog schedules, work or money was seriously pure bliss. I lived in my pjs, indulged in great food and drink and slept away many Prosecco hangovers. It was one of the best Christmases I’ve had for a long time, can we just do it all over again please?!
While Myles (my cousin from London) was in Bristol it was only right we squeezed in a much-needed photoshoot. So on Boxing Day we headed to Clifton and shot three festive and fun looks for my blog. The sun was shining, the wreaths were slaying, Beyonce was playing and we had SO much fun shooting these looks so I hope you like it!
I always have trouble deciding what to wear on Christmas Day. I want to be able to wear something that’s festive and glam but also something that will hide my Turkey bloat without having to turn to maternity wear. So I picked up this pleated dress from Topshop and when I tried it on, it was just what I was looking for.
The wrap dress gives the appearance of a smaller waist yet you can always alter the fit. It hangs perfectly without restriction and is really flattering if you have a pear shape like I do. The star print gives me serious Dolce & Gabbana vibes and would also make a great New Years party outfit.
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas like I did and I will try to not let it go so long without checking in next time. Make sure you keep a look out for the next shoot, it’s a sexy one!
How will you be welcoming in the New Year?
