Happy New Year everyone! It’s sad that Christmas and New Year is officially over *sobs*. It means that this is my last weekend before I head back to the office on Monday and finally back to reality/routine…
Usually New Years is a mediocre time for me; always built up with extravagant plans that never turn out to be what I thought. But now I’m finally starting to get the hang of New Years plans – keep it simple! This will be the 3rd year in a row that I’ve made minimal plans and arranged to spend New Years at somebody’s house with friends or family.
This year me and my boyfriend planned to spend New years at my brother’s new house with friends, cousins and neighbours. And it was so much fun! From playing ‘Ring of Fire’, ‘Pass the Bomb’ and toasting with Prosecco at midnight; it was the perfect night without spending a ridiculous amounts of money.
It made me want to host a New Years gathering in my own house one day. Which brings me to the point of this post – my 2016 goals!
I’ve put some pretty crappy years behind me but 2015 has to be one of the best years so far. I met my boyfriend, passed my driving test and bought my first car. Attended some beautiful weddings – including my cousins recently and learned to manage my finances better . I stepped out of my comfort zone and attended blogging events which helped me to meet some lovely new people. I got to travel to Toulouse, spend a girls holiday in Marbella and not forgetting the beautiful Paris for my boyfriend’s birthday. Finally me and my boyfriend made the decision to start saving to buy a house in 2016!
It’s crazy how fast this year has gone and I’m so excited for what 2016 has in-store. I haven’t set myself many resolutions apart from one; quit smoking! But I have set myself a few other goals that I would love to achieve this year that will help me to keep growing.
- Poso Buy my first house
- http://cakebysadiesmith.co.uk/tag/christmas-wedding-cake Cook/bake more (once a week)
- Put more energy and time into blogging
- Get a promotion or a new job
- Let go of anxiety and try new things (have more faith in the unknown)
- Organise my social life/plans better
- Network
- Continue to keep my body healthy and not just in the gym – essentially eat better and stop checking the number on the scales!
- Keep in good company with true and real friends
- Stay positive
Hope you all had an amazing Christmas and New Year. Lets all do a virtual fist bump to 2016 and make it a good one! What are your New Year resolutions or goals?
