What better way to spend the day after Boxing Day than in bed with a cuppa tea and toast. While the boy watches Ed Sheeran: Jumpers for Goalposts on DVD, I get to finally blog about my recent buys from Space NK.
I’m currently on a spending ban as I’m saving for a house, so I shouldn’t really be buying anything. But it’s Christmas AND I consider this a mere investment on ‘essentials’.
My first purchase is the Sunday Riley Ceramic Slip Cleanser. After chewing a lovely girls ear off about my bad skin and acne scar issues in Harvey Nichols I was reccomended this cleanser. I was skeptical at first , it’s really hard to tell if the Harvey Nics girl was trying to make a sale (it’s a bit expensive) or genuinely recommending a decent product. But as I said it’s time I start investing in my skin routine.
Secondly, I ordered the Laura Mericer Radiance Primer. I’ll admit I actually purchased the wrong one – oops. This primer luckily is universal and the pearl tint effect is supposed to help minimise blotchy skin and reduce an uneven skin tone, win!
Thirdly, I ordered the Nars Light Reflecting Setting Powder. Anything that helps my nose shine and keeps my make-up in place for hours on end is a winner for me.
Last but not least I ordered the Becca X Jaclyn Hill Shimering Skin Perfector in ‘Champagne Pop’ by Becca Cosmetics. I’m so glad I got my hands on this limited edition beauty as it’s well worth the £30! The pigments are so golden that the only phrase that comes to mind is ‘highlight on FLEEK’. At first glance it looks like it could be a tad OTT. You might end up looking like an extra from Fifth Element but the highlighter glides on like a dream. It also made my skin look dewy and added a sexual glow!
Can you recommend any new skin or cult beauty products to pick up?
