It feels like it was only yesterday that I was sat in my living room, gorging on Quality Street sweets in my PJs at 2pm on a weekday, enjoying some much needed time off. But here I am – back to work and back to reality.
2018 was an eventful year to say the least…Who knew that in one year I’d be changing jobs (twice), travelling for so many beautiful weddings and hen do’s, going from Miss to Mrs, jetting off for a holiday of a lifetime in the Maldives for our honeymoon and working so hard on my brand and blogging that I began to reap the reward.
In short, 2018 really was the best year of my life. So many things (good and bad) happened that honestly shaped me. However, for this reason I’m going into 2019 a little apprehensive…
How can this year top 2018?
Surely I’ve peaked?
What if I don’t achieve as much?
Truth is, it’s the unknown that scares me. Last year everything was so heavily planned out and our timeline of events were rock solid. So to come into a new year thinking, what now? is throwing me TF off.
But hey, last year I was feeling the exact same way. The only difference is that this time last year I was scared of everything I had planned and stressing about the little motivation I had to do it. Which is why I chose to write this blog post I suppose…
I want to continue my tradition of journaling my intentions for the year so I can look back on every wonderful thing I’ve achieved and essentially leave a note for future Karina as a reminder: Embrace the unknown because everything’s going to be OK no matter what girl, so just enjoy the ride.
